Neon Alley Launches for the PS3 today!

I would like to make a note that I forgot about this until I was going through my email. It’s starting to look like the PS3 is going to be the place for streaming anime content (even though the 360 has Crackle and Manga Entertainment but they are meh.) because starting to today Viz is making it’s Neon Alley available today.

This is a little different from Crunchy Roll when you check it out. Unlike that other anime  stream service, Neon Alley is like it’s own TV channel in that instead of picking from shows to watch like you normally do you watch what is on schedule to stream.

Speaking of Shows, there are plenty with a bulk of them making their English Dub premire such as Tiger and Bunny, Blue Exorcist, Inuyasha: The Final Act and Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan. They also have Nana, Inuyasha, One Piece, Naruto, Naruto Shipppuden, Death Note and a few others on tap as well. There are also some movies coming on to the service both anime and live action.

What is the catch you say? Well, all of this (in HD) is not free (duh). After the first week that is free, it’s only $6.99 a month and there are ads which they say lets the monthly rate be that “low” in the first place. If you want more info, check out their F.A.Q. on that. Right now, Neon Alley is only coming out for the Sony PS3 and I really don’t see them moving anytime soon.
