Jun. 17th’s NEWS BLURBS!

Welcome to the blog post thing I like to call News Blurb which I talked about in this post. For those that want to know what it without clicking it (and for that you are lazy), News Blurbs are post that have short pieces of news that I feel are too short to even worry about typing. Part of it is because I’m lazy but the other part is that I can redirect you to links that will more than likely handle it better than me. News Blurbs post only come out on Fridays around this time unless said other wise and they will be in the categories Anime/Manga, Comics, Movies/TV, Tech, and Video Games. With that out of the way, here we go.


Dragon Ball Z Abridged has been taken off of youtube, reports the Team Four Star Twitter Page. They urge all of their fans to not riot on Toei, owners of the Dragon Ball Franchise and still support the show as a whole. You can still watch episodes on their website.

Suda 51, the people that brought you Killer 7 and the No More Heroes series are reportedly making a rhythm action game based on Evangelion, reports The Escapist. The game will be called Evangelion Sound Impact and will also have the likes of Silent Hill composer Akira Yamaoka, who will be responsible for arranging and remixing 30 pieces of music from the Evangelion series. It is a PSP only game.


First Comics News reports that the Syfy show, Warehouse 13, will be getting a 5 issue series which will have a all new story that fans of the show will like. The comic is being published by Dynamite Entertainment.

Apparently, love isn’t forever, as Comics Alliance reports that Superman/Clark Kent and Lois Lane will break up in the series wide DC relaunch of their comics. No word if Bruce Wayne will take him the club to get him drunk.

The Beat reports that Mark Millar is leaving Marvel to work on his own stuff. If you don’t remember, he is the writer behind Wanted and Kick-Ass, both of which were later made into movies.


Russell Crowe will play as Superman’s father, Jor-el in Zack Snyder (Sucker Punch) film, Man of Steel reports Varity. He will be joining the cast along with Amy Adams, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Michael Shannon and the dude playing Superman himself, Henry Cavill. He will be follwoing in the foot steps of Marlon Brando from the movies.

The Percy Jackson movie sequel, reports screen rant gets a director in Thor Freudenthal who directed Diary of a Wimpy Kid. The movie will also have Logan Lerman, who played the title character in the first  film, reprising his role. The movie will be titled  Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Sea of Monsters. 

They also report that Tarantino’s new film, Django Unchained is set to be out in theaters December 25th, 2012. So far, the movie’s main star hasn’t been picked but their have been three names have been thrown in the hat: Will Smith, Idris Elba, and Jamie Foxx.

Video Games

Nintendo’s new consoule baby, the Wii U, will not have Game Cube support, reports Destructoid, who it was confirmed by Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime.


Rebecca Black, the girl that gave us a song about Friday, pulled her own video off of youtube, reports Mashable. No one knows why and not a single fuck was given that day. Slow news day is Slow.

Tech Crunch reports that hacker group, Lulzsec, is NOT attacking Anonymous and likewise Anonymous isn’t either. They just attacked /b/ from 4chan.
