If you follow me on Twitter, you would know that I am a die hard fan of Atlas’ first go around on the Nintendo DS by the name of Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor. I really love that game and I was pleased to here that Atlas was going to make a remake of that game for the 3DS. But this isn’t a simple port as the latest english Teaser showed. More on the game after the break.
Titled now for it’s re-released Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked (or SMT:DS OC), this isn’t just a mere port. Atlas improved the graphics, added more demons to buy from the demon market and added voice acting. That’s not all, they even added an 8th playable day as a sort of epilogue chapter. But I still haven’t said anything about what the game is about so here it is:
Tokyo is in full lockdown, the government’s swift, coldblooded response to a surprise demon invasion. While you and your friends must solve the nature of the interdimensional rift through which the horrific creatures are entering your world, saving the world is not your highest priority; staying alive, on the other hand, is.
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Over Clocked will be released this summer only for the Nintendo 3DS this summer.
In Other Atlas news, the game company is now saying that Cathrine, their new game for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, IS coming to North America after they repeatedly said that they were not going to bring it here. I’ve been following this game for some time now and I can tell you it’s crazy.
Atlas has said this game is very adult with scenes of sex and other stuff but what’s really crazy is it’s difficulty. The game was so hard in Japan that Atlas had to send out a patch for the game. Story is right here:
Vincent likes his girlfriend. Katherine’s pretty, smart, and successful. Trouble is, she’s starting to talk about long-term commitment, something Vincent’s spent his entire life avoiding. Since romantic complications are the last thing he wants to deal with, Vincent meets his friends for their regular night of drinks. Little does he know that he’s about to be blindsided by a beautiful, seductive, irresistible freight train named Catherine. Suddenly, he’s hung over in bed next to the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen, unsure about the previous night’s events. Was it just making out, he wonders, or did something more serious happen between them? Should he tell Katherine? Will he ever see Catherine again? Vincent’s about to find that a stumble on the staircase of love can turn into a horrific, fatal plummet…
Catherine will be coming out this Summer on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360
